I have been a follower of Jesus since I was 17 years old. Because I felt behind in my understanding of what it meant to follow Jesus, in addition to reading the Bible, I began reading books on theology and Christian living.   I have enjoyed playing in bands, leading corporate praise in Christian gatherings, serving in several countries and cross-cultural environments, developing and teaching Bible curriculum and shepherding in local church environments.

I write because it helps me to think about and implement things that convict me in God’s Word. I share what I write for a couple of reasons.  First, I believe that truths are best discovered and applied in the “iron sharpening iron” context of community. Second, after sharing my devotional thoughts on Facebook, I was asked to put them in a more accessible and searchable format.

For now, I am writing in 2 loose categories: 1. Worship in Community is theological in nature. I explore cultural and practical engagement with spiritual discovery as it relates to personal growth and community; 2. Words of Life is devotional.  I simply share my thoughts as I read the Bible.
