God is not a checklist

Jeremiah 13:

Verse 7 says that my stubbornness and pride can cause God to weep like a betrayed spouse. This reveals a person-ness of God that prioritizes the relationship. Therefore, we CANNOT approach God merely as a list of dos and don’ts, nor as a master only seeking effectiveness. Rather, we must approach Him firstly and most significantly as a person we WANT to be with, to know and love!
