Jeremiah 23:
- There seems to be a consistent message of false prophets and true prophets (vs. 16&17). The false prophets offer hope without substance. It’s a lie! There IS a hope in the LORD, but considering the proclivity of man to rebel, any hope that doesn’t include God’s cleansing judgment, disciplining those He loves (Hebrews 12:5-11), but only says that everything is OK; this is more than likely a false hope rooted more in our fallen heart’s desires.

- Lord, give me strength to not run after what I WANT to hear, but after what I NEED to hear.
