Psalm 115:
- “Not to us!” (vs. 1) Is this a self-depreciating statement? Maybe if they give glory to God alone, He’ll be happy and get off their backs!! I don’t think that is the motivation. In vs. 14 the psalmist speaks of their children. If glory is given to us, it will fade with our fickle and wavering selves, our finite and stumbling hearts. But, if glory is given to the LORD, it may endure via His unchanging mercy and steadfast love for countless generations who fear Him. (vs. 13)

- Not to us, my LORD, but to You, that my Treasure may remain beautiful forever!
