2 Timothy 2:

• Paul seems certain that a person who is truly a follower of Jesus will respond with a pattern of commitment and obedience. (vs. 3-6) It’s interesting that so much of what it means to Paul to be “one approved” (vs. 15) has to do with how one handles Scripture. (vs. 15, 24-25) Too often in the Church today the serious study of the Bible is diminished, viewed as optional/peripheral. This cannot be! For salvation is found in the believing of the Word, through the hearing of the Word, by way of the preaching & teaching of the Word!
  • Jesus, I want my life to be defined by your Word. Holy Spirit, let me never tire of reading what You have given. Thank you for this priceless gift!
