Psalm 119:41-72
- Again, the psalmist links his personal love for God to his love for the written word (commands, precepts, testimonies, etc.). (vs. 57) To pursue God without considering (vs. 48) his written revelation is like having a conservation with one’s spouse with plugs in their ears. Not only will you not hear the heart of your loved one, but you will deeply offend the one who is speaking to you.
- When we view God’s attempted communication to us the way the psalmist does, then His Word becomes songs on our lips. (vs. 54)
LORD, as the psalmist says, “take not the word of truth…out of my mouth.” (vs. 43) Help me to help others to delight in Your Word with me.
