Psalm 96:
- The LORD, who created all things is to be praised and proclaimed publicly! Twice the psalmist writes “among the nations”! (vs. 3, 10) No, not everyone will hear or receive this, but for those who do, it will be heard with gladness, as something that is praiseworthy. (vs. 11)
- Are we glad about the LORD? Do we find a peace, a happiness, a joy, a contentment, and rest in being united with our Creator? It just doesn’t seem like it when I witness many gatherings of believers. Let’s be honest, it just doesn’t seem like it when I experience the ebb and flow of my own fickle heart.
LORD, let me be among the glad! Strip the delusions from my life and keep so squarely focused on the joy that is in You that I cannot help but be happy, I cannot help but joyfully proclaim You.
VERSE 3 was key in helping me see what an appropriate response to seeing God truly would be, joyful proclamation everywhere.
