Hebrews 3:

• Confidence in Jesus endures! At least that’s what the writer of Hebrews implies in vs. 14. If we endure, then we were confident. If we do not endure, then we were not confident. What does this look like? – Obedience (vs. 18) But, at this point, do not trip over that stumbling block and credit your endurance to obedience. For, obedience is only evidence of belief, NOT proof. If we believe, we will obey. If we obey, we will endure. If we endure, we gain confidence. The trigger for it all is BELIEF.
• Too often we hang all of our confidence on a simplistic prayer. The Bible does not give us this out. Battle doubt and rebellion with the heart-work of belief.
